Grants and funding for schools, on one verified record
A verified district record anchors everything: teacher accounts attach to it, schools post needs and apply as institutions, grant funds are received by the school, and the documents funders ask for live in one library. One agreement covers the whole district.
Your district record is the anchor
A school or district is verified from public school directory records first, and that record becomes the anchor for the whole district on GrantTitan. When a teacher signs up with their school email, the verification attaches them to your verified record automatically — no administrator approval step, no roster to maintain, no accounts to provision by hand. Administrators get oversight instead of gatekeeping: you can see your schools’ postings and applications, and flag a post you are worried about.
Because teacher eligibility facts come from the district record — place, levels, the institution itself — a funder’s rules about grades, subjects, and geography check against facts that were verified once, at the source, instead of being re-typed by every teacher in every application.
Schools receive the funds — always
Classroom and school awards are paid to the school or district, or spent on the materials themselves — never as cash to an individual teacher. Your district controls its receiving bank account, and payouts can only go to an account held in the institution’s verified legal name. Changing that account is treated as the highest-risk change on the platform: the new account is re-verified, the district’s administrators are alerted, and payouts pause until verification completes. Every payment carries a permanent transaction record, and receipts show the invoice references a purchasing office needs.
Schools also seek funding in their own name. A school keeps a verified institutional profile, posts needs — a playground, instruments, a library refresh — and applies to grants as an institution, with the same pre-filled applications and plain-language eligibility determinations nonprofits get. Read how determinations work on How eligibility works.
One document library for the whole district
Grant applications ask schools for the same supporting documents again and again. The district document library stores them once — the W-9, tax and IRS forms, financial statements, budgets, and the other records a funder may request — each labeled with its period and a freshness flag, so a stale document is marked “Needs update” instead of quietly passing as current. A document stays private until it is attached to a specific application; then only that funder sees it, and every view is written to the audit log.
Student privacy sits above all of it as a platform hard rule: no student names, no photos of identifiable students, no grades, and no student records anywhere on GrantTitan — in posts, applications, messages, or check-ins. The full rules are on Trust & Security.
District pricing, in plain words
District plans run from $2,500 per year, with final pricing set with the district’s size. One agreement covers every school and every teacher in the district — there is no per-teacher or per-school charge, and teachers and schools pay nothing themselves to post needs or apply. Funder plans and the seekers-pay-$0 promise are spelled out on the pricing page; common questions are answered in the FAQ.
