For funders

Grant management for funders who still run grants by email

If your grant round lives in an inbox, a spreadsheet, and a stack of mailed letters, GrantTitan gives you the whole round in one place — posting, eligibility, applications, scoring, awards, and check-ins — at a price sized for a small funder, with every applicant verified before they reach you.

The whole grant round, one record

You build the grant once: what it funds, how much, the deadline, and the application questions. Your eligibility rules are plain picks — who can apply, tax status, where you give, topics, budget size, required documents — and they are published in full on the grant, exactly as you set them. Applicants check themselves against those rules before they apply, and the ones who do not fit get a determination with the reason, written in plain language, before either of you spends time on a hopeless application.

Applications arrive in one list, each attached to a verified profile. You score from 1 to 5 on the criteria you choose, keep private reviewer notes that applicants never see, and record the decision. Award and decline notices go out from the same record, and the check-ins you set at award time are tracked for you — due dates, responses, and completion — instead of living in someone’s sent folder.

Every applicant verified before they reach you

Verification is the platform’s side of the bargain. A nonprofit is checked automatically: EIN against the IRS tax-exempt organization database for legal name, tax-exempt status, and deductibility; profile and transparency status from Candid; and an email domain that must belong to the organization. A funder cannot publish a grant until it is verified, and an applicant’s profile shows its verification record — the sources checked and the date — right on the application you are reviewing. Facts a source could not confirm are labeled “Not yet verified,” and an unverified fact can never satisfy a rule of yours that requires a verified one.

Your grants also carry your own verification record, shown to applicants. Funders and seekers verify the same way, so the trust runs in both directions — a small nonprofit can check who you are before it applies, just as you check them.

Communication on your terms

Messaging exists only inside an application, and only where you turn it on: off, on for applicants while their application is being reviewed, or on only for awardees. Every message is text-only and checked on GrantTitan’s servers before it is sent — profanity and slurs are stopped, and so is any attempt to move money or contact off the platform. If you need to talk something through, you can request a GrantTitan Virtual Meeting from inside the application: you offer times, the applicant picks one, and the meeting link is generated for that meeting — no email addresses or phone numbers are exchanged. Read the full rules on Trust & Security.

Find needs, not just applications

Your subscription also opens the needs board: verified nonprofits, classrooms, and schools posting what they need — money, materials, or volunteers. Browse by topic and place, offer support directly, or invite a poster to apply to a grant. It is a way to fund good work that would never have found your application form. See how postings work on the in-kind donations page.

Priced for a small funder

Run one round a year for $349 per grant round, or grant year-round on the Annual plan — $150/month billed annually ($1,800/year), or $180 month-to-month. Community foundations and funder groups can run several funds under one account. When you pay an award through GrantTitan, a 2.5% transaction fee plus a flat 3% processing fee are charged to you, on top of the award — the recipient always receives 100% of it. Applicants pay nothing, ever. Full detail on the pricing page.

Trust, verification & security

GrantTitan’s credential is not a badge we bought — it is a record you can read. Every verified profile names the source it was checked against and the date it was checked. This is the short version; the full page explains every rule.

Verified from named sources

  • Checks run automatically against the IRS tax-exempt organization database, Candid, verified school-system records, and the organization’s email domain — and fail closed, with the plain reason, if they cannot pass.

Security, in plain words

  • Multi-factor authentication, role-based access, encryption in transit and at rest, and a full audit log of who saw what.

Money & students

  • Seekers pay $0, and no student names, photos, grades, or records appear anywhere on the platform.
Applying and verifying are always free. GrantTitan never charges a fee to release funds, and will never ask for gift cards, wire transfers, or your password by email. If someone asks you for any of those, it is not us.

On certifications, plainly: we are building our controls toward SOC 2 Type II. GrantTitan is not SOC 2 certified, and we will not claim to be until an independent audit is complete.

Proof, not promises

Advance-fee grant scams dress up in borrowed badges. GrantTitan displays no certification logos at all — only claims you can check yourself, in one click, at the source. Our seal appears only where a check has actually run — and every check names its source.

IRS records

Nonprofit status is checked against IRS Tax Exempt Organization records.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. GrantTitan never holds grant funds and never sees or stores card numbers.

Schools & privacy

No student names, photos, or records — anywhere, by design. We are ready to sign the National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) with any district.

What we hold — and what we don’t

Every certification we’ve earned, and the ones still in progress, are listed on our Trust & Security page. We claim only what we hold.
